Amber,

When I moved here (also to teach at ETSU) I found that nearly all Tree Streets rentals are advertised by yard signs only. I made arrangements to come down from Connecticut mid-summer, drove around checking things out and making calls, and had a house lined up within three days.

Hi Amber,

I don't know if you've found a place yet or not, but one of my neighbors has relocated up North and has a house down the street that has been empty for at least two years.  I know she would like to sell it and may be open to renting. They do live away so you would be on your own to do any repairs to get it move in ready, but you may be able to negotiate a good price.  The address is 413 W. Pine and the owner is Deb Turner.
