Event Description
FREE TREES! 2,800 tree seedlings will be handed out on a first-come, first-served basis. The free trees are part of a campaign to plant 10,000 trees in Johnson City, and varieties offered will include Serviceberry, Carolina Silverbell, Amur Maple, River Birch, Lacebark Elm, and Bald Cypress. A limited number of seedlings will be available per person.
This year marks the 12th consecutive year that Johnson City has been named a Tree City USA by the National Arbor Day Foundation.
