May 6, 2011, 5K evening race starting at 6:30 pm at the old Depot on State of Franklin Road downtown Johnson City, proposed trailhead for the historic Tweetsie Trail. Join us on a flat, fast course through the historic "Tree" streets. Following the race, plan to attend First Friday in downtown Johnson City. Enjoy music, food, and Appalachian RC&D Council's Splish Splash Brush and Bash, an artistic rain barrel event that promotes art and environmental awareness. Earthfare is providing post-race food & drink! Volunteers are needed for registration, race course monitors, and other areas.
