Event Description
Mark your calendars and get your walking shoes ready. This year’s sale is slated for September 7, rain or shine. Johnson City Police estimate over 15,000 people from all over the region and several neighboring states attend the yard sale annually.
Four portable toilets with volunteers to keep them clean will be located in Veterans Park beside Southside School. Signs throughout the neighborhood will direct you to them.
The 35 block sale area is bounded by University Parkway, West Walnut and South Roan Street. Visit the Google map a few days before the sale to check all sale locations.
The attached map outlines the area and in August we will start to post the individual sale locations.

FEE CHANGES
We are encouraging everyone to pre-pay for the yard sale this year. The fee is still $10 but this year if we have to collect from you on the day of sale the fee is $15. The last day to pre-pay will be Thursday Sept 5. in the evening at Veterans Park. Time to come later.
The reason we are doing this is that fewer and fewer people are sending their payments in ahead and we have to go out and collect the fees on the day of the sale. It takes several people many hours of walking thru the neighborhood to get it done. A large majority of people now expect us to come collect so they aren't sending it in. We hope with the price increase on yard sale day people will pre-pay.
We will start taking payment when the newsletter comes out in August with the yard sale registration form.
